Today at the Lichfield Festival – July 11, 2014

The sounds of the Penguin Cafe will be on offer at Lichfield Cathedral from 7.30pm.

There will also be music from the Elias String Quartet at St Michael’s Church from 3pm, while Lau appear at the Garrick at 8pm.

An organ recital by Alexander Pott takes place takes place at the Cathedral at 11am.

Impressionist Luke Kempner brings comedy to the Garrick Studio at 8pm with his show, The Only Way is Downton.

The National Memorial Arboretum will join the Lichfield Festival at 7pm for an evening of poetry and remembrance.

“Hosted by local poet Paul Thornber, the evening will be a mix of classic works and contemporary reflection on the conflict, culminating in the recital of two new commissioned pieces from the Staffordshire Poet Laureate, Tom Wyre.”
