Formed in 2006, the 18-strong choir will perform at venues such as All Saints’ Anglican Church, the Episcopal Church of St Paul within the Walls and St Paul’s outside the Walls.

Chorister, Eilidh Owen said: “It’ll be an excellent way to conclude a really exciting year.

“We’re all really excited about going and singing in these incredible venues.”

The choristers have previously toured Dublin and Limburg and will be in Italy from July 21 to 25.

Cathy Lamb, Lichfield Cathedral’s director of music, said: “Bonding as a group is a vital part of making music in a choir and going on tours such as this one is an excellent way of spending quality time together.

“It helps us to rehearse and refine what we do.”
