The Countryside & Parks Conservation Group (CPCG) will be at Muckley Corner on August 6 and Christian Fields in Lichfield on August 20.

The first event will see volunteers cutting back tree shoots and weeds to protect the heathland habitat, while the second will see grass cut back.

Councillor Ian Pritchard said: “We are grateful to our CPCG volunteers who continue to help us to manage important parks and green spaces across the district.

“We’re always keen for more people to join the group, so if you are interested in nature conservation, please contact us to find out how to get involved.”

Both days will run from 10.30am to 3pm. All tools will be provided as well as light snacks. Wearing outdoor waterproof clothes and sturdy footwear is recommended.
