Chasetown FC set to renew FA Cup rivalries in pre-season

Chasetown FC will renew the first of their FA Cup rivalries as they entertain Port Vale in a pre-season friendly.

The Scholars shot to national prominence in 2007 when they beat their Staffordshire rivals in a dramatic replay.

And while the game on Saturday (July 26) might not have the same importance, it will be an integral part of Craig Harris’ preparations for the new term.

The game is followed on July 29 with a trip to Cardiff City – the team which ended Chasetown’s dramatic FA Cup run at the third round stage in 2009.
