Burglars have targeted a butcher shop in a village near Lichfield.

Two raiders forced their way into a side door of the business on Bagot Street in Abbots Bromley at around 2.30am on Wednesday (August 27).

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: “It is believed the offenders were disturbed and they fled the scene empty-handed.

“One of them was wearing a grey hooded top and the other a cap.”
