Police appeal for witnesses after man dies in A38 crash

Police are appealing for witnesses to a crash on the A38 which left a man dead.

Officers are asking any drivers who were heading from Lichfield on the northbound carriageway who may have seen the incident at Clay Mills, Burton, at around 10.35pm on Friday (September 12) to come forward.

A Range Rover Vogue collided with a Vauxhall Astra, which was believed to be stationary. A 37-year-old man sustained serious injuries and later died at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

An investigation into the incident is now underway and witnesses are asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident 789 of September 12.
