The relaunch of a Lichfield community facility went off with a bang at a family fun day.

Activities including face painting, skittles and a bouncy castle were on offer at the Jigsaw Community Hub.

The future of the facility has been secured after it was taken on by the Fusion Credit Union.

Janet Bamber, Treasurer of Fusion Credit Union, said: “When Lichfield District Council announced last year that their management support for Jigsaw would stop, there was a great deal of concern that the facility would close. Jigsaw was an important location for our collection points and we felt that we had the skill and resources to manage the facility.

“We were very pleased that Lichfield District Council accepted our offer. This event was to celebrate and promote Jigsaw’s services for the community and it was really pleasing to see so many people having fun and enjoying the free activities.”
