A President of the Regimental Insitute (PRI) shop has opened at the Defence Medical Services (DMS) facility in Whittington and cutlery firm Arthur Price has agreed to sell items through the store.

Simon Price, chief executive of Arthur Price, said he was pleased to be able to support the initiative.

“I’m simply delighted to be a part of the PRI shop at DMS Whittington,” he said. “But what is special for me is the opportunity for the local community and the barracks’ personnel to work together.

“Forces personnel are transient, moving from base to base, but I know the DMS Whittington team wanted from the very beginning to be a part of the community and I hope this venture will have benefits for the base, the local area and beyond.”

Commander of DMS Whittington Surgeon Captain Stuart Millar added: “Arthur Price have been supporters of DMS Whittington since it started and it quickly became apparent that we could work together.

“Not only is the PRI shop a great hub for the forces staff and families, but with this local business partnership it offers the personnel the opportunity to really feel part of the local community.”

Is it just me or is anyone else sick of the sight of that man?!

I must confess it is the first time I’ve set eyes on DMS Whittington Surgeon Captain Stuart Millar and he seems a jolly type. So I cannot agree with the question raised by John.
