Five local bands have bagged support slots at Lichfield’s Fake Festival.

Taking place in Beacon Park on August 15, the popular event will be headlined by tributes to Bon Jovi, Kasabian and Jamiroquai.

Hundreds of acts applied to be on the bill, but Britpop Reunion, Mr George’s Famous Last Words, Tom Woodman and Analogue Haze have won the coveted slots.

“We are really lucky to have such talented musical artists in the region, and we were not short of applicants this year,” said Jez Lee, owner of Fake Festivals.

“It has been very difficult to choose just five artists to perform, but we hope we have chosen something for everyone, and we very excited to have them perform on our main stage.”

Early bird tickets are on sale until tomorrow (July 15) and are £16.50 adults, £9 10-17 year olds or £42 for a family.

Tickets can be booked online.
