The Lichfield 10K race, now in its 20th year, is set to pass through the countryside between Lichfield and Whittington on Sunday (September 13).

The Lichfield Garrick’s artistic director Tim Ford said: “We are really excited about the development of our new Youth Theatre programme.

“This will be fantastic for local young people to engage with the Lichfield Garrick and to create some phenomenal work here.

“In order to ensure the programme gets off to the very best start, our staff team is committed to fundraising and supporting its development for future generations of local people.

“Everybody is training really hard and feeling very nervous about the race, but we are all determined to get around the course together.”

People can donate to their efforts online.

The Lichfield Garrick Youth Theatre starts on September 27. For more information, visit www.lichfieldgarrick.com.
