Goals dry up as Lichfield City FC are beaten by Nuneaton Griff

Lichfield City FC’s goalscoring run dried up as they were beaten 3-0 by Nuneaton Griff.

Gary Birch’s men had netted 19 times in their previous four outings, but found their second placed visitors a tougher nut to crack.

A sign of things to come came with just four minutes on the clock when Danny Edmond gave Nuneaton the lead.

His goal was quickly followed by a second from Dave Barnett.

It took Lichfield until after half time to gain any real momentum in the fixture.

But their efforts to get back into the game went unrewarded and they suffered further misery when Josh Ruff wrapped up the victory for Nuneaton.
