Councillor urges Lichfield and Burntwood businesses to take advantage of new Growth Hub

Businesses across Lichfield and Burntwood have been urged to make use of a new Growth Hub.

The facility has been created by the Greater Birmingham & Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (GBSLEP) to offer advice on areas such as funding and support.

Councillor Ian Pritchard, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet member for economic growth, said the hub would add something new to the business landscape.

“It is vital that companies across Lichfield District get access to the right support and funding, and I urge our business community not to miss out on all the opportunities provided by the Growth Hub.”

Leaders of the GBSLEP estimate that 7,200 companies will receive help from the new initiative in the coming year – with more than 300 enquiries already received since its launch earlier this month.

The Growth Hub’s manager, Ian Mclaughlan, said: “From setting up a company to exporting, recruiting, securing funding or developing new products, there is information and guidance available for business owners based right across the area.

“Any business that wants to grow, or needs any kind of help, should contact the Growth Hub team as a one-stop-shop for advice.”
