Sale in Lichfield to raise money for Syrian child refugees

A nearly new sale of baby and children clothes is being held in Lichfield to raise money for child refugees of Syria.

The sale, which will include craft stalls and bake-off goodies, is being held at the Curborough Community Centre, and has been organised by local parents.

Natasha Hettihewa-Young said money raised at the event on Sunday (October 25), will be donated to Save The Children – Child Refugee Crisis Fund.

The mother of two, who lives in Lichfield, said: “We decided to hold the sale because we felt we couldn’t just watch the awful plight of the child refugees of Syria and not do something to help.

“We already have a good selection of nearly new baby and children items, from toys to clothes, but would love it if parents would also be able to donate more to make this event a huge success.

“We also are asking for donations of tasty baked goods so we can raise as much as we can on the day.”

Entrance costs £1 per adult (free for children) and the sale will be held form 10am until noon.
