Communities in Shenstone, Hopwas and Wigginton submit neighbourhood plans

More communities in Lichfield have put themselves forward to become designated neighbourhood areas.

Shenstone and Wigginton and Hopwas Parish Council have both submitted plans to Lichfield District Council.

The documents outline how the communities could be shaped in the future and, if approved, will provide a framework for development going forward.

Six-week consultations are now being held for locals to have their say:

Councillor Ian Pritchard, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet member for development, said: “Well done to the local community members of Shenstone and Wigginton and Hopwas who have worked so hard on their neighbourhood plans.

“It’s a great achievement to have got it this far in the process and we hope local people take the time to give their comments about the plans.”
