The Lichfield Garrick’s artistic director says he hopes a new programme will attract more visitors to the city theatre.

The new November to June line-up has been unveiled with a variety of theatre, music and comedy on offer.

Highlights include Tell Me on a Sunday, starring Jodie Prenger, Mousetrap, Mark Thomas, Arthur Smith, Ray Quinn, Gareth Gates and The Cat in the Hat.

The new season at the Garrick is the first under the direction of Tim Ford.

“I am delighted to introduce the new 2016 programme and look forward to welcoming lots of new people and companies into our wonderful theatre,” he said.

“In particular I am excited about the new monthly shows we have planned including jazz nights, film nights, family days and the launch of our new cutting edge theatre programme in our studio, Garrick Introducing, which will showcase some of the UK’s most exciting and critically acclaimed emerging artists and theatre companies.

“From I, Elizabeth, the multi-award winning drama, to the brilliant Sleeping Trees and their comedy production of Western, there is something for everyone.”

The new season brochure can be downloaded from www.lichfieldgarrick.com or collected from the box office.
