Woman arrested after Burntwood man is airlifted to hospital with stab wounds

A 77-year-old Burntwood man has been airlifted to hospital after being stabbed.

Police say the incident at an address on Chorley Road at 9.30am yesterday (November 8) was a “domestic-related” one and arrested a 47-year-old woman in Chasewater Country Park.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: “Officers on the ground, supported by colleagues from the force’s Dog Support Unit and helicopter, searched the area and located her in the park.”

The man had sustained “several stab wounds” and was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
