Parents urged to find out more about activities for young people in Burntwood

A series of activities are taking place as part of a campaign to keep young people off the streets in Burntwood.

The Where is your child tonight? initiative aims to make parents more aware of what their children are doing in the evening.

Activities – aimed at 10 to 19-year-olds – include cheerleading, boxing, trampolining and free running.

Councillor Andrew Smith, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet member for leisure, said: “We’re encouraging parents and guardians to stop by Burntwood Leisure Centre from 6.30pm to 8pm on December 10 to find out more about the campaign.

“A big part of the initiative is to promote the many low cost activities that are on offer to young people who live in or go to school in Burntwood and Lichfield.”
