Spark initiative in Burntwood on the lookout for new volunteers

Community-led children’s centres in Burntwood are on the lookout for more volunteers.

Spark, which launched in September, was created by a group of local parents in a bid to save the facilities in the town.

They currently offer a range of activities and groups, including baby massage, crafts, dance, single parent support and grandparents drop-in sessions at the sites at Boney Hay and Springhill.

A spokesperson said: “As we grow and expand, we are now in a position to take on volunteers for a variety of roles, from looking after our website to being on hand at a centre for an afternoon.

“If you have a bit of time to spare and want to support a fantastic cause, please get in touch.”
