Lichfield Arts president says city is becoming “jazz capital of the Midlands”

The city could cement its place on the jazz map during 2016, according to the president of Lichfield Arts.

An impressive line-up of acts will take to the stage in the city next year.

The Lichfield Garrick, Lichfield Arts and the George IV already have a number of jazz events scheduled/

They include:

  • January 13 – Christine Tobin @ Lichfield Garrick
  • January 20 – Nick Dewhurst Quintet @ George IV
  • January 29 – Remi Harris @ Lichfield Garrick
  • Feburary 17 – Callum Roxburgh Orchestra @ George IV
  • February 17 – Partikel’s String Theory @ Lichfield Garrick
  • March 15 – Phil Robson Organ Trio @ Lichfield Garrick
  • March 16 – Imperial Suit @ George IV
  • June 24-26 – Lichfield Blues & Jazz Festival

Lichfield Arts president Brian Pretty said: “Lichfield is on its way to becoming the jazz capital of the Midlands in 2016.”
