Chance to learn lifesaving baby first aid skills on Burntwood course

People are being given the chance to learn how to give lifesaving first aid to children and babies at a course in Burntwood.

NCT Lichfield and Tamworth and the British Red Cross are organising the session at Spark Boney Hay on January 30.

Taking place at 2pm, the course will cover areas such as CPR, choking and burns.

A spokesperson said: “The course is just two and a half hours long – perfect for learning the simple procedures that you need in an emergency.

“It will remove any fears people have about delivering first aid in an emergency situation.

“The expert British Red Cross trainers will give participants plenty of practise in lifesaving techniques and there will be lots of opportunity to ask questions.”

The course costs £25, with reduced rates for couples and concessions for those on low income or certain benefits.
