Scheme offers free boiler replacements to Lichfield and Burntwood residents with long-term health conditions or low incomes

People in Lichfield and Burntwood with inefficient or broken heating systems could be entitled to a free replacement boiler thanks to a new scheme.

The initiative – from Lichfield District Council’s Warmer Homes, Greener District scheme – is designed to help people on low incomes or those with a long-term health condition.

Councillor Colin Greatorex, Cabinet member for housing,, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Warm Zones to offer these free energy measures to local homes that need help to bring their heating systems up to scratch.

“Not only will we fund replacement central heating and boilers for qualifying households, we are also offering free loft and cavity wall insulation.”
