Family pay tribute to woman who died in Mile Oak crash

The family of a woman who died after being hit by a car in Mile Oak have said the community are in shock after her death.

Rosemary Robinson, 61, was involved in the incident on the A453 Sutton Road near its junction with George Avenue shortly after 6pm on January 28.

Mrs Robinson, of Boldmere Road, Sutton Coldfield, sustained serious multiple injuries after the crash involving a VW Golf and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham where she died the following day.

A statement from the family said: “Rose was loved by all who knew her.

“Rose was a devoted mother, loving sister and auntie and truly remarkable friend to all who knew her. Many friends described her as ‘Mommy Rose’ due to her loving, motherly nature.

“Rose’s two daughters as well as the whole family are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident on that day to come forward.

“We are pleading for any information that could help piece together the events of that fateful evening.”

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to call Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident 657 of January 28.
