The new team behind the Lichfield Garrick’s annual panto has been unveiled.
Evolution Productions will bring Sleeping Beauty to the city stage later this year.
The show will follow in the footsteps of the record-breaking run of Jack and the Beanstalk.
Tim Ford, Lichfield Garrick’s artistic director, said: “We are thrilled to be working alongside Evolution Productions, and I am very much looking forward to directing the production and creating a pantomime that will appeal to the whole family.
“This year’s show will maintain all the localness that we love and will keep the story at the heart of it. It also promises to be full of surprises and is set to be one of the most spectacular and funniest shows we have ever produced.”
Evolution Productions, led by television presenter Paul Henley and his partner Emily Wood, has a produced a number of shows across the country.
Paul said: “We are absolutely delighted to be producing Sleeping Beauty with the Lichfield Garrick and to be working alongside Tim Ford, one the most talented and passionate artistic directors in theatre.
“The Garrick has an incredibly dedicated team and, together, we aim to make this year’s production of Sleeping Beauty the biggest, funniest and most spectacular pantomime Lichfield has ever seen.”
The star of the pantomime – which runs from December 1 to 31 – will be announced in April.
