Lichfield firefighter honoured for long service

A Lichfield firefighter has been honoured for his long service.

Watch manager Mike Burnside was among those to receive awards from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service.

They were presented by the Lord Lieutenant Michael Beatty and Cllr Lee Wagner, vice chairman of the Fire and Rescue Authority.

A spokesperson said: “The Long Service and Good Conduct Medal is awarded to members of the service who have completed 20 years’ operational service and have demonstrated, during this period their good conduct, loyalty and devotion to duty.”
