Lichfield City FC secured a late win against AFC Wulfrunians in the JW Hunt Cup.
The visitors had an early chance to take the leader, but City keeper Sheridan Martinez produced a good save to keep the scores level.
Lichfield began to stamp their authority on the game as the half progressed, with Tony Clarke spurning a one-one-one before strike partner Dave Yonwin also fluffed his lines.
With the scores level at half-time, it was all to play for in the second period and Clarke saw another chance go begging.
Both sides traded blows as they sought to find a knockout punch.
Wulfrunians saw an effort cleared off the line as the game hung in the balance.
But there was late drama as Dexter Ravenhill’s 88th minute effort came back off the bar for Yonwin to net the decisive goal.
