Commanding centre back Francino Francis has joined former club Hednesford Town, while striker Kevin Hemagou has signed from Loughborough Dynamo.

The moves are likely to mean a re-shuffled pack for boss Dave Stringer as the Scholars look to open daylight between themselves and Staffordshire rivals Leek in the play-off hunt.

The manager told the Chasetown FC website: “We have been chasing Kevin for two or three months, so I’m delighted this one has crossed the line.”

Francis, meanwhile, has made 32 appearances for the club this season but will make the short move back to Hednesford.

Chasetown’s game with Leek kicks off at 3pm today (March 19) at The Scholars Ground.
