The free showcase will see top chefs from across the region, a brewing event, a baking competition and specialist food and drink stalls.

Morag Pringle, Lichfield Business Improvement District (BID) manager, said: “Every year Lichfield Food Festival grows and grows and we are delighted to be involved in such a key event in the city’s social calendar.

“The event has such a massive impact, attracting thousands of visitors from across the region, putting us on the foodie map and allowing us to showcase all that our city has to offer, from its restaurants, bars and shops to its heritage attractions and parks.”

The application process for traders to be a part of this year’s festival has opened and stallholders are being encouraged to apply in March to take advantage of the early bird booking offer. Applications can be made online.
