Police have released footage captured on CCTV in Lichfield of man who has gone missing from a secure unit.

James Pinsent was spotted entering a bank in the city on Monday (March 21).

West Midlands Police say the “vulnerable” man may be trying to leave the country.

Inspector Chris Smith said: “The images show that James has changed his appearance and we believe that this may be to avoid being recognised.

“We are increasingly worried about his safety and his whereabouts. He is described as white, 6ft 2ins, clean shaven and wearing an olive jacket, beige jumper and jeans.

“He is carrying two large black duffle bags and is likely to be using trains and taxis as a mode of transport. We ask that no-one approaches James directly and to call 999 if they think they see him.”

Anyone with information is urged to call the police immediately by dialling 999. Alternatively people can leave information anonymously by contacting Missing People charity on 116 000.
