Lichfield City FC finally bounced back to winning ways with a 2-0 triumph at Southam United.
Gary Birch’s men ended a four game run without a victory thanks to goals from Keenan Richards and Dave Yonwin.
Lichfield’s lively start showed they were in the mood to shake off their recent wobbles, with striker Tony Clarke looking lively in the opening stages.
Richards missed a golden opportunity to break the deadlock as City bossed the early exchanges.
Striker Clarke spurned a host of first half opportunities as his goalscoring touch deserted him.
The breakthrough continued to elude Lichfield who nearly conceded an own goal just before the break.
The second half saw City start brightly once more and they finally found the net when Richards produced a smart finish.
But Lichfield had to be alert at the other end as a rare Southam attack saw Joe Haines scramble the ball off the line.
The result was finally sealed when sub Josh Leaver provided a clever pull back for Yonwin to net.
