People in Lichfield and Burntwood have less than a week left to register to vote in the Police and Crime Commissioner elections.

The vote takes place on May 5, but people need to be registered by April 18.

Diane Tilley, Electoral Registration Officer for Lichfield District Council, said: “Time is fast running out to make sure you can take part in the Police and Crime Commissioner election.

“Our message is simple: if you’re not registered by 18 April, you can’t vote. I’d encourage everyone across the district to act now if you’re not already registered to vote.”

People can register to vote online.

Who should I vote for?

The candidates have not sent any details of what they stand for, what they say they are going to do, how are they going to improve things……..

So, how should I vote? Party? The one with the funniest name?……..

It’s just a central government initiative, to move the blame for cuts in police services, to somebody else.
