Lichfield City FC were forced to settle for a point after letting a two-goal lead slip at Pilkington XXX.

A bright first half saw Gary Birch’s men wrestle control of the game in a three minute spell as goals from Tyron Smith and Richard Robinson put them in command.

City looked to be easing to victory until Craig Oldfield gave the hosts a route back into the game with a goal 13 minutes from time.

Lichfield appeared to have held off the Pilkington fightback until a Daniel Douse strike two minutes into stoppage time earned the home side a point.
