Air cadets from Lichfield have visited 10 Downing Street as part of national anniverary celebrations.

Commanding officer Flt Lt (VR) Chris Kelly travelled to the capital with the cadets from the 1206 Mercian Air Training Corps Squadron.

As well as travelling to Downing Street with Lichfield MP Michael Fabricant, they also visited Parliament.

Mr Fabricant said: “This year is the 75th anniversary of the air cadets forming and to celebrate this, the Staffordshire Wing has created a relay torch that will tour each squadron in Staffordshire and it accompanied the visit.

“It is my honour and privilege to be Squadron President of the 1206 which is one of the most successful ATC squadrons in the Midlands.”
