Joe Pasquale will be among the stars coming to the Lichfield Garrick for the theatre’s new season.
German comic Henning Wehn will also be on the bill for audiences in the city.
The new season at the Garrick runs from May to September, and artistic director Tim Ford believes there will be something for all tastes on offer.
“We have an action-packed season ahead of us and I am thrilled that we’ll be bringing some of the very best theatre companies and artists from across the UK and direct from The West End to Lichfield,” he said. “These include the brilliant Odd Socks Theatre with their production of Much Ado About Nothing, helping us to celebrate the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare, and the best full masked theatre company in the UK, Vamos Theatre, with their hilarious exploration of life in the swinging 60s.
“This autumn we open the national tour of The Woman in Black, so grab a ticket if you dare. For musical lovers we are thrilled to welcome the UK tour of Little Shop of Horrors starring X Factor finalist Rhydian, and The Magic of The Musicals with the brilliant Julie Atherton and friends.
“And, football fans can enjoy an evening of laughter and good old fashioned banter with an evening of Ron Atkinson and Barry Fry.”
Other shows include The Hired Man, the theatre’s first community show staged and starring a cast of 40 local people, while Tony Christie will be treading the boards as part of his Golden Anniversary Tour.
Younger theatre-goers will be able to catch CBeebies favourites Chris and Pui, and there will also be tribute acts to the likes of Roy Orbison, The Rolling Stones, Elvis, ABBA and Phil Collins.
The new season brochure is available from the Garrick or via its website.
