The rising temperatures have led zookeepers at Drayton Manor Park to come up with inventive ways of keeping their animals cool.
The lemurs at the theme park near Lichfield have been tucking into frozen treats as the mercury rises.
Temperatures in Lichfield and Burntwood are expected to reach 23C over the weekend.
Meanwhile, the RSPCA has warned pet owners to take precautions to keep their animals safe.
And they also want others to report animals who may in danger during the warm weather.
RSPCA inspector Anthony Joynes said: “In an emergency, it is best to dial 999 and report a dog in a hot car to police. The RSPCA may not be able to attend quickly enough and, with no powers of entry, we’d need police assistance at such an incident.
“If the animal is displaying any sign of heatstroke – such as panting heavily, drooling excessively, is lethargic or uncoordinated, or collapsed and vomiting – call 999 immediately.”
