Former Chasetown FC player Dave Langston has been named as the new Lichfield City FC boss.
He will replace Gary Birch who confirmed he would stand down at the end of a Midland Football League Division One season which saw them finish seventh.
Langston enjoyed a playing career which also included spells with Bromsgrove Rovers and Stafford Town.
His management career has included spells with Brocton, Rocester and Gresley, where he coached son Jack and former City favourite Liam Holt.
A statement from Lichfield said: “Dave has a wealth of experience and will bring with him a coaching team of Frank McLeod, Rob Perks and Steve Clarke.
“We would all like to welcome Dave and his team to Lichfield City.”
Chairman Darren Leaver has previously said that he hoped the new City boss would reintroduce a nucleus of local players to the squad.
