Organisers say a concert by Sir Tom Jones will provide a “massive boost” to the local economy in Lichfield.
Thousands of people from across the city will descend on Beacon Park on June 12 for a performance by the Welsh singer.
The bill will also feature Licfield crooner Tony Christie and Britpop favourites The Pigeon Detectives and Cast.
Kicking off the day of music at 1pm is singer Matt Bond after concert promoter Lee O’Hanlon of organisers tinyCOW heard him busking on the streets of the city.
Lee added that local hotels, restaurants and bars are likely to feel the benefit of Sir Tom’s show.
“The fact that a superstar like Tom Jones has made our beautiful city part of his world tour is a phenomenal coup for Lichfield and tinyCOW,” he said.
“It’s great that so many local businesses will be able to benefit from the huge buzz that will be around the city this weekend.”
The show will take place in a 10,000-person marquee. For ticket availability visit tinyCOWtickets.co.uk or call 01543 412121.
Information on parking at the concert site is also available online.
