A spokesperson said: “Over the whole weekend, the Staffordshire Regimental Association will also be setting up their rifle range where potential ‘crack shots’ can try their hand at target shooting.

“The Museum’s Research team will be on hand to offer advice on how to look into military service records.

“With lots of historic military vehicles, fire-power demonstrations, children’s ‘drills’, the fabulous on-site café, ice-cream galore and lots of places to picnic, this is a fun and fascinating way to learn about our history that’s ideal for the whole family.”

Admission is £7 adults and £4 children with kids under five going free. Family tickets for two adults and up to three children are £20.

The event runs from 10am to 4pm on both days. For more information call 01543 434394.
