The group joined local police officers for a day of public order training, raising money for the UK COPS charity along the way.

They took part in a shield run as well as crowd control and street riot scenarios.

Lichfield Round Table chairman Adrian Steele said: “This event has always had a good turnout and we’ve managed to raise a substantial amount of money for a really important charity.”

UK COPS provides support for families of police officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

Richard Kotulecki, chief executive of UK COPS, said: “We are very grateful to Lichfield Round Table for making this donation which will go towards helping us to rebuild the shattered lives of families.”
