Course in Lichfield offers parents the chance to learn baby first aid skills

Parents are being given the chance to learn first aid skills which could save their child’s life.

The NCT in Lichfield and Tamworth has teamed up with the British Red Cross to offer a baby first aid course.

A spokesperson said: “The content is specifically relevant to parents and carers of babies and pre-school children and covers topics that we know can be a worry for parents such as CPR, choking and burns.

“The courses are just two and a half hours long, perfect for learning the simple procedures that you need in an emergency but short enough to fit into your busy schedule.”

The next session takes place at Lichfield Library on July 23 and costs £25, with reduced rates for couples or those on low income and certain benefits. There is a choice of a morning or afternoon course.
