How many more accidents will it take until LDC accepts that it is ludicrous to dump an additional 750 homes worth of vehicles on an already overloaded and dangerous road?

Isn’t it time that this huge error of judgement was admitted and plans put in place to permanently stop access to/from the A38 at Streethay?

“If we overlook the fact that the Lichfield District Council employee who played a part in allocating this site is now working for the developer that owns the site, we’re left with what looks like an incompetent decision to approve the development.”

    No conflict of interest here.

Are Staffs Highways still of the view that speed cameras aren’t acceptable on this road? Years ago they said they couldn’t put them on because people drive too fast coming off the A38 (you couldn’t make it up) but they can destroy the grass verges with the speed van.

Just wait til the construction traffic joins the Streethay traffic fun. Shame we don’t live in Alrewas. They had their housing estate rejected at the same time as we had ours approved. Guess that’s what happens if you have a senior Tory councillor living on the road where the development is planned! Not in her back yard!
