A woman is in a “very serious” condition after being assaulted in Burntwood.
Police were called to High Street at around 10pm last night (July 20) where they found a 53-year-old woman lying unconcious on the pavement outside St John’s Church.
She was treated by paramedics before being transferred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
A 20-year-old man, also from the Burntwood area, was arrested at the scene.
A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: “The victim remains in a very serious condition.
“In order to preserve evidence the road was closed and police tents erected. The male remains in police custody and the investigation continues.”
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Staffordshire Police on 101 and quote reference 919 of July 20.
That’s Chase Terrace High Street, not Burntwood.
And Chase Terrace is within Burntwood. Looks like your selective accuracy expands beyond five-bob politics and borderline racism, Rob.
“five-bob politics”
Would that be enough to buy a vote in the labour leadership election?
However, Chase Terrace being part of Burntwood isn’t in dispute, it’s just the precise location of the road itself, which is err, Chase Terrace.
Nice n-d-p by the way, they’re coming thick and fast now.
I couldn’t care less about Labour, just pointing out that your one eyed views on the world clearly expand beyond politics. Chase Terrace is within Burntwood so you’re actually arguing that six doesn’t equal half a dozen.
Maybe you should enlighten other MSM outlets with your wisdom:

They’re mistakenly thinking it happened in Chase Terrace too, you obviously know better.
Thankfully the church seems to know its own address:http://www.stjohnscommunitychurch.org.uk/locator/
Unlike yourself, some of us don’t offer wisdom, we offer fact. You should try it, then you’d realise that Chase Terrace is within Burntwood.
Oh, and perhaps you should ask Stephen Sutton’s mum how accurate she thinks the E&S is.
I’m not aware of anyone claiming Chase Terrace isn’t in Burntwood.
It’s just that the particular High Street mentioned is Chase Terrace.
Why would I want to seek anyone else’s opinion of the E&S, we can all read a map, or so I thought?
The post office service has a problem with the location of High St Chaseterrace, even with the postcode. That’s why ours & there mail keeps getting delivered to the wrong houses lol. #Fact
Anyway, back in the real world, let’s just hope the woman assaulted is OK.
Well said Scribbler- what a shameful display below such a worrying event!
