Plans have been submitted for the rear and upper floors of the old Midland Bank site on Chasetown High Street.

The building has also been used as a dance studio.

The proposals would also see the frontage of the retail unit improved.

A spokesperson said: “The property is currently in a state of disrepair having been vacated by a variety of previous short term occupants who have failed to succeed in their business on the premises.

“The proposal is to replace the rear part of the ground floor with one residential unit and the upper floors to have a change of use to provide two new residential units.

“As such, the proposed building will provide a mixed use facility with High Street fronting retail and rear accessed residential units.”
