Floodlight switch-off means Lichfield City FC must wait to learn FA Cup opponents

Lichfield City FC will have to wait a little longer and see who their FA Cup opponents will be.

Dave Langston’s men booked their spot in the next stage with a 2-1 win over Wolverhampton Casuals.

And they looked to be facing a trip to Coventry United until the floodlights went out and saw their game against Shawbury United abandoned last night (August 10).

But Lichfield will get their Midland Football League Division One season underway this weekend when they travel to Studley on Saturday (August 13).
