A Lichfield couple have been threatened by burglars who broke into their home.
They were awoken by two men at the house in Purcell Avenue at 4.30am on Thursday (September 8).
One of the raiders threatened the couple while the other searched the property where a young child was also inside.
A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: “Both intruders are described as male and their faces were concealed by balaclavas. Also present inside the property at the time was a young child
“During this incident, the male resident was struck over the head, but he did not require hospital treatment.”
Anyone who saw or heard anything in the area is asked to call 101 and quote reference 132 of 8 September. They are also asking for anyone who may have CCTV from the area to contact them.
