The role of women during World War One and World War Two will be explored in Alrewas this weekend.
The National Memorial Arboretum will host the event lifting the lid on the Women’s Land Army and Women’s Timber Corps which served on the home front.
A spokesperson said: “This is a chance to learn more about these inspiring groups, from their formation, recruitment and roles, to their lifestyle and iconic uniform.”
The talk takes place in the Rose Room at 2pm on Saturday (September 24). Entry is £3 in advance or £4 on the day. For more details call 01283 245100.
