Barton United bagged all three points after winning 4-2 at Coventrians.

Richard Holmes gave his side the ideal start after powering home with just 11 minutes on the clock.

Scott Masters should have made it two shortly afterwards but saw his header go wide of the target.

The Black Swans did eventually double their lead though as Tom Green capped a neat move to slot the ball home.

Jonathan Douglas missed a good chance to extend his side’s lead from close range – and Coventrians soon punished the miss by pulling a goal back.

But Barton restored their advantage as Peter Martin and Masters both found the net, meaning that another Coventrians goal was nothing more than a consolation.
