Tours to explore the spooky side of Lichfield

The spooky sights of Lichfield will be on offer at a ghost walk in the city.

Visit Lichfield’s Gruesome and Ghostly tours return during October, November and December.

Led by Green Badge guides, the tours take in the Guildhall prison cells, the history of the Market Square burnings, the ghosts sighted at Dam Street, The Close and other locations.

Councillor Helen Fisher, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet member for tourism, said: “As the nights draw in and the temperature drops, this is the perfect time to discover the dark and mysterious side of Lichfield.”

The walks are rounded off with a visit to a local pub for a glass of mulled wine and a hot sausage roll.

The tours will run from 7pm to 8.30pm on October 26 and 27, November 10, 15, 16, 23 and 29, and December 7, 8, 12 and 15.

Each costs £6.25 and can be booked by calling 01543 256611.
