Lichfield City FC will face a stern test of their title credentials in a top of the table battle this weekend.
Dave Langston’s men sit second in the Midland Football League Division One but will get the chance to leapfrog leaders Bromsgrove Sporting.
The league encounter will also be a precursor to the FA Vase tie between the two clubs after they were drawn together in the second round.
This weekend will also have added spice thanks to the number of ex-Lichfield players in the Bromsgrove ranks, including Joe Haines, Tony Clarke and Keenan Meakin-Richards.
A spokesperson for Lichfield City said: “They are one of the best supported teams in the country at our level, attracting over 500 supporters to a number of home games this season, and they are sure to bring a noisy travelling contingent on Saturday.
“We’d like people to come down and ensure Bromsgrove don’t turn this into a home game.”
Kick off at Lichfield is at 3pm on Saturday (October 29).
