The line-up for the 2017 Lichfield Blues and Jazz Festival has been confirmed.

The Climax Blues Band, Sticky Wicket, Masai Blues and the Remi Harris Trio are among the acts set to appear in the city between June 2 and 4.

Other names on the bill include Chris Gumbley and Anything Goes, Callum Roxburgh’s Swing Orchestra, the Dunnettbaxter Big Band, Emma Johnson’s Boog Woogie Quartet and Fred T Baker.

A spokesperson for Lichfield Arts said: “We are delighted to bring back this popular music festival with its mouth-watering variety of blues and jazz performed by some of the best known and loved names on the national and regional music circuit.

“Visitors will be treated to a wide range of concerts and performances in pubs and historic venues right across this picturesque city, with music ranging from acoustic and strident blues, to big band jazz, swing, boogie –woogie and full-on jazz.”

The 2017 festival will also see street performances, a lindy hop dance workshop and a pop-up blues and jazz stage at the George IV pub.
