Crocuses at Elford Walled Garden

The efforts of volunteers to plant 10,000 purple crocuses at Elford Walled Garden are starting to pay off.

Members of Tamworth Rotary Club helped carry out the work to raise awareness of a campaign to eradicate polio across the globe.

A spokesperson for the walled garden said: “These are now coming into flower along with hundreds of daffodils, making the walled garden a great place to visit at the moment.”

Admission to the garden is free. For more details visit www.elfordhallgarden.org.
